Title: cross threaded oil pan plug

Any suggestions on how to handle a cross threaded oil pan plug? Engine type - Detroit 8V92 Silver

There are such things as self threading oil pan plugs, or have it rethreaded, and use one of those plugs with the drain valve. Good luck.

Your drain plug can be simply replaced, most commonly, the drain plug is much softer than the threads for this reason. your drain threads are most likely alright..... just need a new plug.
