Is there a big difference between the turning radius on the same size Intrigue with one having the straight axle and the other having the IFS?
We have a 1999 Intrigue with straight axle and there is a 2000 with IFS available nearby so wondering if it is worth looking at upgrading to the 2000.

Thanks

I have a 2007 inspire and the IFS is a great feature. When I park my rig at the house I enter off a very narrow road and the turning radius makes it possible for me to make the turn in one shot. I am not sure if it would be worth trading up one year just for this reason, but I am thinking about trading just to get a king size bed so I may not be the one to answer your question. I will never own another coach that does not have IFS

We took an 06 Allure for a drive last year at the factory. He pulled out of the bay, and made a right turn out the gate that we would have had to juggle our coach back and forth several times to get out. The difference is amazing. Several years ago, someone from the factory said they could pull straight into a wall within 6 inches, and yet tyrn the wheel all the way over, and pull out to the side.

My 2004 42' Intrigue with IFS will go places my 98 36' 10" Allure couldn't. I've never been stuck in a space where I had to un hitch and back out of with the Intrigue. Unfortunately, I got be a real whiz at disconnecting the Allure to get out of places. The problem is you get the car torqued in tight spaces and makes it very difficult to disconnect the tow bar has just the release buttons. My Current tow bar has the release handles fortunately, as I have had instances when pulling into a uneven spot has caused some rather extreme twisting of the car relative to the coach.

Bob,

My 05 Inspire 40' has IFS and it turns quite sharp but I have pushed the envelope too far and had similar problems with tow bar release and disconnect.
