Chassis battery disconnect

When parked for an extended period of time on shore power, say 4 months.....does anyone just throw the chassis battery disconnect instead of relying on the Echo charger? Joe Cronin Magna 6223 Reply to sender

Hello Joe,
with more than 10 years experience on European streets
https://lh6. googleuserconten t.com/-5y4llL1k Lo/UXQaGo8nDfI/ AAAAAAAAC9Q/ fhNgJm3m xg/w1109- h428-p-o/ Liner+1200_ 1.jpg and 3 CC's in the US I always use a mechanical switch to disconnect the batteries.
First I don't trust the echo chargers, had bad experience when the charger failed and charged all the batteries to death.
Second I don't trust the solenoids as disconnecter because they fail, happened to me with a brand new CC in Northern Canada when I suddenly had no more power on the house. Thanks God I'm a mechanical engineer so I could connect the cables in front and behind the solenoid.
And this solenoids never disconnect the house batteries completely because then you have to reprogram your home theater and more.
(argument by a CC technician !!!) What a joke.

Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:58 pm (PDT) . Posted by: "Robert Huffhines" huffhinesr My echo charger stopped working and checked all the fuses and had power to charger. So instead of replacing the Echo- I bought a 2 amp trickle charger. Connect it when I am parked for a while.

R.I.P. Shurflo 5.7
Sun Apr 21, 2013 2:41 pm (PDT) . Posted by: "wjay@..." wjay@...
Greetings campers!
My Shurflo 5.7 has left the building, and I understand it is no longer in production, nor supported.
Has anyone recently replaced a 5.7 with another pump, and found similar performance? There is a Shurflo 4.0 (Model 4048) that seems to be the replacement. How about Flojet? I was happy with the 5.7 but it didn't stand up very well. If you have one, be thinking about your next pump.

The clearances vary because the overpasses are arched.
Can't help you with details but there is a program for your GPS which will warn you ahead of time based on height parameters you install. I believe it's at lowclearance. com.
