Sometimes our dash a/c does not output refrigerated air- just forced air.
Most times, if I shut down the air and the engine and then restart both, the refrigerated air comes on. Not so today. What am I missing? What should I look for to correct the issue?

Mike,

I just had the same issue in mine, Inspire 51649, and they found a bad Temperature Switch which controls the mix of the conditioned air. It is a small plug-in type, metal, sitting next to the Heater Box(left side) exposed when you drop the front access door.

Thanks for the information, Jim. Was your issue intermittent for a while before you fixed it?

Problem solved. We located a disconnected wire at the compressor and re-connected. All we can figure is that when we had the radiator coolant flushed and they replaced the thermostats, (one of the thermostats is just below where the wire was disconnected), the repair tech failed to reconnect the compressor wire. Go figure.
Thanks to all for your suggestions.
