Title: Serpentine belt C9 cat

Need a little help guys. I need a serpentine belt for my 06 Inspire with a C9. I called Cat gave them the S/N and they told me that CC did the install all they came up was the 8 groove belt tensioner. I tried the search and nothing came up. Thanks for any help on this.

Floyd,

I had my belt replaced at a CAT dealer in NE. several years ago. They used a NAPA belt 080797. I have a 2005 Inspire with the C-9 engine. I have attached a picture of the NAPA belt carton with the number . I hope this helps.

+1 to Jocks response. I replaced the one in my 2006 Inspire, powered by a C9, with a CarQuest Gates belt #K080797.

Thanks, looks like Napa and CarQuest have the same numbers. I like Gates belts plus CarQuest is just down the road. Again thanks to everyone.

You may be able to read the number on the back of the belt with a light and mirror. I took my 3 year belt off of my jeep and I can still read the number on the back. Keep the old one if useable for an emergency spare.

You have to be careful with NAPA. The premium belt that they sell is a Gates belt. They seem to sell a lot of items at different price points such as fuel filters and fuel hoses.

I did got to CarQuest and got the belt. It is a Gates belt but made in Mexico.
