I recently asked the same question @ Coachworks LLC in Pipe Creek, Tx and David said to swap it out with Dish as they made the antennas for MotoSat. R0938, SOB, Austin Tx

You can consider having it repaired if you don't want to go to HD. RF Mogul repairs the Nomad very quickly and, if I remember, the cost is around $150.

We just ditched the MotoSat and got the Windgard Trav'ler 1000 what a sweet setup. We got a new receiver also Dish from Camping World for 1/2 price and the windgard on sale also added it to my dish account for $7.00 a month, but here is a good deal, less than I paid. My install ran about $340 and took about 3hrs http://www.adventurerv.net/winegard-travler-traveler-dish-1000-camper-home-p-4391.html (http://www.adventurerv.net/winegard-travler-traveler-dish-1000-camper-home-p-4391.html) Floyd 2006 Inspire 51744

I went with RF Mogul and it has performed well to date. OMC in Junction City has installed a number of them and recommended the product.

Thank you for the responses, I did find a very good company called Satellite World. I wanted HD since I had already installed a HD tv. I went with the Winegard SW-SWM3 It is very flexible with adding other tvs and after the install my over air and cable are clear as sat. I did call rf-mogul and the did say they would repair my SD-2 controler for $150 if it was the control board of $50 if it was a programing problem. If anyone wants a used Moto-sat I will be at FMCA.

I agree, the Winguard 1000 Traveler is a nice set up. It has the Triple LNB allowing for use of the Hopper and it's full High Def. It deploys with one button and has a lower profile than the dome when it's retracted. Winguard makes a lot of dishes for the military and the servos seem strong and so far reliable. We have been using this one for 2 years without any problems.

I did not go with Wineguard because the last time I checked you had to send it to the factory to be repaired. I do not know if that has changed.
