Will be heading down to Branson soon. Never been there before. Would like recommendations for camp grounds, things to do, places to eat, etc.

Hi Kevin. Been awhile since we went over to Branson from the Norman Ok area so can't make recommendation on eating and camping. BUT Silver Dollar City Amusement( just on outskirts of Branson) is like no other we've ever been to. And the best part of the park is Marvel cave, man O man what a place to go into when the day starts warming up. So nice and cool and a great example of one of the biggest if not the biggest cave in the Ozarks. Worth the trip. I can't guess your age Kevin, but if you have a female companion you might want to wear sunglasses so you don't get in hot water for looking too long at the DasyMaes walking around real cute. LOL. Silver Dollar is based on a old time Silver mining town. Oh yeah Table Rock lake is also located within shouting distance with lots of campgrounds in area.

Kevin,
We were in Branson the middle part of May. We stayed in a Hampton Inn, very nice and ate at Landrys Seafood, yum! Go downtown to The Landing and there are restaurants there. there is a huge Bass PRO shop there. We saw The 12 Irish Tenors, a show called Six, and the Pressleys and Joseph. We also went to the Butterfly Palace. Of the 2 outlet malls there, the Tanger is the best, it seems. We bought jellies at the Amish store and admired the handmade furniture. we did wine tasting at 2 vineyards and bought a few bottles. Hope this is helpful! Sincerely,
Reese

The three campgrounds I'd recommend are Indian Point COE Campground, Table Rock Lake State Park, and ABC Campground.
For an upscale dinner go to Big Cedar Lodge (owned by Bass Pro), best food around. Best ice cream is Andy's, Burger Shack for hamburgers. Landy's is good, Shorty Smalls in the old Andy Williams Restaurant is a good grill too.
My choices for music would be SIX, Pierce Arrow, The Duttons. Micky Giley still does a good show.
