My main awning needs a new one of those fabric hinges in the aluminum cover. Where's the best place to get this and how difficult is it to change. Looking at it, I thought I might be able to slide the new one in by steps as I pull the old one out by steps, thereby avoiding taking the awning full apart.

Thanks!

Mr. Dan...

I've had good success dealing directly with Zee Dee...they have a web site at www.zipdeeinc.com, I think, that has lots of info and maintenance tips. Plus direct phone numbers to talk with them...they can and will tell you what is safe to do and what's not...and generally how to do most work on the awnings yourself...

Dan & Ann,

I would call Zip-Dee direct. I called them on the unfurling issue & found them to be very helpful. They are in the Chicago area & do factory service. If you want to do it yourself they'll give you the tech support you need.

I've never changed one myself so I can't give any first hand advice.

Hope this is helpful....
Steve

Dan, Replaced mine just that way, just do it on a calm day. Good luck.
