Hello All,

On a trip in Oregon and whe we started today the dash radio would not put out any sound. The radio appears to be working I can see the Xm receiving a signal and a cd showed it was working. I toggle the dash home switch back and forth several times and it never worked. Never had this problem before.

Checked the fuse in the coach and all appears to be working.

All ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanksq for the help.

Do you have a mute button on your dash radio ?

Some coaches have an automated switch circuit that transfers the ceiling speakers from the car stereo to the Home Theatre System. If you have accidentally left the HT system on with the inverter on then the car stereo system won't put out any sound from the speakers.

what is the brand and model #? Sounds like a loose speaker wire or ground. Our Pioneer unit has a wire harness underneath the dash and it works loose and our backup camera stops working. Never affected the sound however.

David,

I had a similar problem. Remove the instrument panel cover and check the security of the wires on the rear of the radio.

David,

Just passed through Oregon myself (now across the river in Stevenson, WA) and had the same problem. Turns out my big right foot kicked some stereo wires loose under the dash. Crawled under and traced the wires out of the stereo to a bundle of connectors. Pushed them all in tight and no more problem. Hope your problem is as easy to fix.
