Title: How to fix awning mount problem?

Last year, we discovered that many of the screws securing the awning to our 1995 Intrigue were missing, loose, or literally sheared off, mostly in the front half of the screws. At that time, I installed new screws mid-way between most of the old screws, and replaced the old, missing screws with the next larger size. Not surprisingly, several of these latter screws have loosened, because of deterioration of the wood behind the fiberglass.
So, my question is, is there a best way for a ~10 year fix, preferably one that doesn't require de-mounting the awning?
