Marc,

You don't need to throw the baby out with the bath water. I wouldn't let any laws stop me from seeing some of the wonders of the country. California has its laws, but also has many beautiful places to visit. In Central Calif, there are the Giant Sequoia's and Yosemite. In Northern California there are the The Red Woods, Monterey Aquarium, and Hearst Castle, in southern California there is... well not much, so travel west on SR 58 over Tehachapi Pass and go north.

Enjoy your travels wherever they may take you.

Michael

I agree, please all stay up North... Hard enough to get a spot sometimes down in the South end of the state... Borrego sunrises, can only be matched by their sunsets. Julian, Palomar Mountain, Laguna Mountains, Silver Strand State Beach, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Chula Vista, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, that little place called LA, Santa Barbara, Venice Beach ---- Yep, stay North - nothing down here to see:)!
All kidding aside, the full state has some great things to see. And yeah, the locals are now nick naming the place CaliKornia due to all of the crazy rules and regulations. Good with the bad...

Best to all,
Smitty
