Has anyone actually installed a solder head high loft Halon Fite Extinguisher in their Norcold or Dometic Cooling Unit Compartments?

yes I installed it last fall... SS-30 from http://rvcoolingunit.com/ (http://rvcoolingunit.com/) with 90 degree head - easy install on the wooden deck in the compartment. I rest easier now, but I still inspect my compartment regularly for any signs of leakage or corrosion. I also installed two thermostatically controlled external cooling fans back there as well.

David: yes, last year. After changing out the cooling unit to the Amish unit, I thought it would be a good idea to add the extinguisher. Easy job and mounted to the wood directly to the right of where the burner is located.
