Ok so my out dated CCI Control gas leak detector has gone bye-bye. I see that they are no longer available. I was hoping that someone out there may have stock piled a few. Kevin Waite, can you do your magic and make one appear in my mailbox?

No need for magic..... Safe-T-Alert makes replacements for the defunct CCI - -and I wouldn't put a CCI (New in the box or used from a RV) in any thing other then a garbage can!

I would be nice if the propane detector would shut off the gas at its source when it went into an alarm condition. In our bus this isn't the case. We get just an audible alarm which requires manual intervention to shut down the gas. That, of course, assumes the living space is occupied and someone can attend to the situation. Which isn't always the case.

You can have that feature if you want - its called a valve control kit safe-t-alert part #70-742R-BR-KIT
Been around forever, CCI used to make one as well.
Now my opinion is it's a pain. Nothing worse then when your cooking dinner and the LP detector goes off because of all the smells from cooking and then the LP shuts off and you have to get the area cleared before finishing cooking...

Well when my CCI gas leak detector goes off it shuts off the solenoid at the propane tank. Every gas using appliance is now shut off and will remain off until the leak detector is manually reset.
