How many miles on the coach? What exactly is the failure?

How many miles and what year is your coach? When was the last service at a CAT service center?
I had mine serviced at Quinn in January and they said these C13 engines needed to have the mounting bolts for the turbos torqued annually.

gbconsta@... (gbconsta@...), you gave so little information, not even your name that its impossible for us our here to do anything other than scratch our heads.
Talked to my CAT Service Center go-to guy, who I've used for 5 years and trust 100%.
He said . . . It's a turbo problem not C-13 engine problem. Apparently there is no CAT Service Bulletin out on turbo failures.
CAT Service Centers should be doing routine inspections on the engine when in for service, which I do annually with my oil change. He knows of no CAT annual "have the mounting bolts for the turbos torqued annually" maintenance interval.
All of this gets us no closer to why the failure?
One of my cardinal rules is "be sure to let the turbos cool 3 minutes before shutdown."

Hi folks, coach is 05 Magna with 40k miles. Last time into a CAT dealer was for a valve lash adjustment in Oct 2011. Oil changes at Petro Lube since then. I know about the need to let turbos cool down before turning off the engine. I let the engine idle while leveling the coach, etc. I was told by the shop that when the low pressure turbo craps out it can send debris through the high pressure turbo and cause it to go out also. Additionally, the number 6 cylinder is not firing. They are not sure if the turbo problem is related or not. A pressure check (not same as compression check)of the cylinder showed no leakage.

I have 60K on my C13 and have the PM done annually at Mountain States CAT in Meridian. I like the fact that they put the engine on the computer and check for codes and firmware upgrades. They crawl all over the coach and check everything on the chassis. They have never mentioned torqueing the turbo bolts and they said they service a lot of C13's in dump trucks and fire engines.
