I want to know if the fuel gauge on my 98 Magna #5499 is supposed to register when turned off? Or is it supposed to register empty when turned off? I had it in a Paint shop for 6 weeks and I forget if it' registers when off. It is showing 1/2 tank when off. I thought it used to go to empty when shut off? I must be getting old. Thanks in advance for the help. RD

Mine reads actual tank level with ignition switch in "Off" position with main battery house switch "On".

I should have said...with both main house and chassis switches "On".
