I am thinking of doing the switch from the NoCold to the Samsung. Right now Best Buy has them on sale $420 off for $1079. So my question, has anyone had Premier RV in Junction City, Or do there switch. They told me they would go through the door (they must remove the frig doors to get it in) and how was the install when done. I checked with Kustom Coach Works Junction City and they go through the window at the table. Really don't want to take out a window.
I have looked at all the different installs that have been posts and all of them look good.
Any help on this would be great.

Hi Floyd,

I'm not sure if I've answered before. We have 2006 Inspire 51784, and we installed the Samsung last summer by bringing it through our door with screen door removed and passenger's seat removed. Also, as you stated, we also removed the doors of the Samsung to get it through the door. It really was pretty easy to get through the door. The install as others have said was also pretty straight forward. We chose to leave the 2 drawers underneath, and it is such a joy to have this refrigerator!!!

Good luck, Floyd.

Hi Floyd,

Watched an install through a window and it was very easy and not an issue.
I would suggest that revisiting this may be a good thing.. and a lot less work than taking off doors, moving the passenger seat etc.

Floyd,

We here at Infinity Coach, Sumner, Wa. have done lots & lots of the refer samsung change outs (enough that I honestly can't remember, more then 25 less then 50 in the last 2 years). Nothing rocket science about it, just labor. We have only had to go thru the window on 1 coach (a bluebird wanderlodge) and every other one thru the entry door. Most coaches we pull the passenger seat, remove the doors on both, the norcold to get it out and the samsung to get it in, re-assemble the samsung, make the necessary cabinet modifications, change the electrical 110v outlet over to Inverter (if needed) panel & insulate the upper vent, cover the lower with access to electrical & ice maker water line, trim out & add travel latches. It can be done in a day, I personally like to give 2 days to my tech. We charge a flat rate of $1500.
I will say that at $1079 that's a really good price, cheaper then my builders price we get from samsung. Of course if our local best buy or any other big box store has them in stock at a lower then my price then it can be matched with a printed add thru samsung.

Also FYI to you and other's....... I found another Refrigerator that fits. It's a fisher & paykel, it's 3"? shorter then the Samsung (so about 3"? taller then the norcold) same depth & a touch narrower. Only comes in Stainless, But has Ice & water in the door. Does cost more, retail price is $2300 with ice/water in door,$300 less without. Just another option, but more important much higher quality over the samsung. Not that I've seen any problems with the sammy, other then Ice maker issues... Model #RF170ADUX1 (ice/water in door) or RF170ADX1 without

We have that Samsung but have never hooked up the ice maker. We're with you regarding being a bit fearful of things breaking that we don't need anyway.
