The HWH auto leveling system has a three-legged leveling sensor that is located somewhere underneath. Mine levels up consistently low on the slide side, I think I need to raise that side to get a better level. This is a very simple adjustment but I don't know where to look for the control module.
The rig is a 1998 Allure, 36 footer. Thanks.

Hi Dan,
First, the accepted procedure is to adjust the valve extension rod to raise the side that is low.
Second, I have not seen on this user's group any other method than above.
And last - adjusting the level sensor is tricky and sensitive. Touch it - and more than one degree of freedom may be affected.

The problem is the ride height control air valve which may be failing. This valve has caused us a lot of grief. Search the posts in this group to learn how to adjust them. jerry in NM, '00 Magna.

OOPs, I have jumped to a wrong conclusion. I have had so much trouble with ride height control valves I gave you the wrong info. The leveling system does not use the ride height control valves. I'm not sure where the level module is on your coach. It is usually near the center of the coach and somewhere in the basement ceiling. jerry in NM, '00 Magna.

Fred, we've already checked the ride control system and the coach is riding properly level when in the "travel" mode. But when it levels, it consistently is low on the driver's side, slide in or out. That tells me the level control module needs to be adjusted, because the HWH auto leveling system thinks it is level when it is not.
No problem front to back either.
As someone else noted the HWH system and the ride control system are two separate entities. This is strictly a ride-control issue.
Thanks.

Hi,
I would talk to HWH, they will guide you through the procedure for leveling, (tires with proper inflation, level surface, leveling settle out time period, etc). As I recall there are two locations depending on coach. On the 2000 32' Allure it is located in the roof of the last full size compartment in front of the rear tires on the passenger side. It has a round cutout in the ceiling for access to the adjustment screws.

Had the Country Coach techs adjust mine at the Reunion a couple weeks ago. In the 36' 2002 Allure the sensor is located in the ceiling of the forward bay under a plate. The CC tech said the adjustment is VERY sensitive. I think he said he adjusted it less than a quarter of a turn - still overshot the goal a bit so I'll have to try and move it back a bit.

Hi guys...on my 1999 Allure 36 ft with slide the cut out and adjustment for the leveling system is in the first full bay from the front and it's in the center of the coach...with flashlite in hand you can see the cut out...adjustment will take a Phillips head screwdriver with long shank, laying on your back...
Mr. Fred is right on getting everything as level as you can, tires squared away, etc...my suggestion is to then put a carpenter's level on the coach floor and level the coach manually...then have someone watch the "yellow" lights while you do the "tricky" adjustment...lots of patience required....
After you think you have it right, then let the coach relevel itself and check again and most likely it'll need more adjustment due the three point system vs a four point system...and the tolerance that the leveling system has....my suggestions anyway.....from having done it....good luck....
The other option, as I recall, is to let the coach level itself, then adjust the screw that is closest to the low side (down or out) then go thru the leveling cycle again and hope that you got it right...etc. etc. etc....
Hope that this is helpful...

I assume you're talking about the first full bay that is immediately behind the propane bay. There's no cutout in the ceiling of mine, or in the following bay either. I have this bad feeling I'll have to remove the entire ceiling to get at this puppy.

Yes sir...it's the first full bay behind the propane bay...and by ceiling I mean that there is a drop down in the center of the coach that runs front to rear and covers the wiring and pipes, etc...the cut out is in that drop down part's ceiling....actually on the 99 the drop down, both sides and "ceiling" is plywood covered in carpet...you can remove the side of the covering or the bottom by removing a few screws...(I did that and drilled some one inch holes in the sides of mine to hold broom, mop, washing brush and awning pull down handles by sliding them thru the holes)..anyway, if it doesn't have a cut out, I'd remove the side and look for the adjuster but I can't imagine that they didn't put a cut out in...it would be in the left to right center of the coach...by the way, the cut out is maybe a 4 inch diameter hole, and the adjuster is about 3 inches in diameter...as I remember...and may be covered with a plate or something...
Good luck....

The floor isn't the item you're trying to level - the important thing is to get the refrigerator level. So use your carpenter level on the framing right next to the refer, not on the floor.
Also, I'm not sure I agree with going out of your way to start from a very level position. The whole point of the auto leveling system is to correct for an uneven starting attitude. I'd just start from any handy spot, let the leveling system do its thing, and then begin making corrections until the refrigerator is level.
The CC techs used the manual leveling controls (up and down arrows on the control pad) until the refrigerator was level, then adjusted the sensor (in the forward storage bay) screws until all the amber lights on the control panel were off. Then they went through an auto leveling cycle to verify that all was well. They repeated the whole procedure a couple times before it all seemed okay.
