On your ripping out the Panasonic and installing a Sony, bravo. But question. In the cobwebs of my mind I recall something that make that horrific Panasonic special. The way it linked to the rest of the equipment or some such . . . am I missing a screw here? If it's that easy, I intend to get rid of that excuse for a radio shortly too.

Lon, I'm installing my new Sony today. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm not aware of anything special about the way it's wired. I have crossed over all the wires from the Panasonic to the Sony it looks pretty straight forward to me.

I am interested in how this goes, my Panasonic only works as a backup camera, radio produces no sound.

The Sony install went fine. However, my original Panasonic radio was a separete unit from my rear view/back-up camera.
