CC Magna #5591 - I am planning to pull my 8 x 16 (7,000# rated) cargo trailer and wondered if I will have any issues as the tongue length is 3 feet. The trailer has a flat front, tandem axles. Is there a optimum tongue length, and if longer than three feet, can I use a receiver extension to make up the difference.

3' is probably too short to avoid a trailer bumper collision. If you do not make any real sharp angles baking up you should be okay. A receiver extension can be troublesome as it increased tongue weight. Your coach is probably 102" wide (8.5') it usually takes a 4' plus tongue to avoid this, but you can still smack the bumper past xx angle.
