Have anyone with a 40' to 42' coach had a problem "bottoming out" when going up the Queen Mine RV Park steep entrance?

Thanks, Mike 03 Allure 1st Ave. #30898 40' Tag

Mike,

You'll probably be alright with the tag. I had difficulty getting in with my '98 40' Intrigue, which had a 278" wheelbase and sat very low on 11R tires. I scraped the bottom of a storage compartment making the turn up the steep driveway a couple of times. My '01 36' Intrigue has no problem. You just need to be careful.
The Queen Mine is nice location for checking out Bisbee. However, if you're a golfer, Turquoise Valley in Naco is a good place to stay. There's a great golf course there.

We were there two months ago and had no problem in and out with a 40' Intrigue, 2004 vintage with tag axel.
The manager, by the way, is very friendly and helpful. Get there before they close the Queen Mine tours. I don't know what date that is supposed to happen, but the copper mining company that owns the property has announced they are shutting it down. That will definitely put a hurt on Bisbee.

Jim,

I've heard in the last week or so that the City and Phelps Dodge are trying to work something out to allow the tours to continue.

We are thinking of stopping there in a couple of weeks. Are the tours stopped now?
