From: "Joe and Patti Frazier, III" frazier5421@...> (snip) > Changing seats with my wife wasn't really very safe while we were driving, and yes driving a MH takes concentration. (snip) Say what??? Have you really changed seats while driving????? Why? Do others do this extremely hazardous maneuver? Please tell me "no!"

Of course we have, When we are trying to make a lot of distance in a short time, we only stop for diesel, we have made 600+ miles in a day that way. We only changed on straight-aways and only when there was no traffic anywhere around us. Although we did this maneuver many times, we did have one close call when I was sliding back into the drivers seat, my foot accidentally hit the brake, it could have been bad, but we were lucky. Is it a good idea,? probably not, but when you are pressed for time like we are (we are not retired yet) It was the only way we could get where we needed to WHEN we needed to. Needless to say, we don't do this anymore, mostly because my wife doesn't like the way the 32' Allure wanders.

Yipes! Please don't switch driver's seat while in the process of driving. At least not when I or my friends or family might be on the road.
And if you belong to FMCA don't you recall that by joining the association you affirmed that you will not practice this dangerous maneuver.
