I am in need of a light fixture for my 2005 Inspire. It seems one of the florescent light fixtures has decided not to work any longer. I have been looking for a replacement only to find they stopped making the one I have. Mine is a Liteco Model 179. All replacement fixtures are not the same size. the closest replacement is a Thin Lite model 626. However it is an inch too narrow.

Anyone have any idea where one might find an original? I know there is LED , however, not really interested unless I have to.

Jock,

This location is parting out a 2005 Inspire, that had fire damage in the rear.
Maybe they have what you need...

Jock

You can switch to LED using the same fixture. I replaced my 12" with at 12" LED. Got it at starlightsinc.com, but ebay has them cheaper.

Jock, You could just replace the ballast inside and keep the existing fixture. How did the norcold doors work?

Jock,

For a new fixture try www.fixmyambulance.com they have the 179 Litecos for $60 plus $17 shipping. All of your ceiling lite fixtures are at an age that are at risk of failure.
For $25 including shipping you can change just the inverter/ballast. Liteco does not sell a ballast separately, I went to www.thin-lite.com and ordered a new ballast #OIB-716. Talk to John Drake because it will be wired differently, however its not difficult.

I have a similar problem and intend to replace any failed fluorescent with a LED light. I have ordered kit type materials sufficient to replace all interior lights in my rig for about $33.. There are how to videos on the internet.
I will let you know how this works out.sounds easy.
