Title: Dash Air - Outside Air Filter

Hi Folks,

The attached photo depicts a framed filter installed over the outside air inlet for the dash air.
I used right angle aluminum stock and the expensive ($4.99) furnace filter from ACE hardware. I purchased the largest filter (all are the same price) so many can be cut out of the large original. The framing is 6" H x 17 1/2" L which was built using pop rivets out of 3/4" x 1/16" thick aluminum angle. Our Coach was one of the last with the squirrel cage fan inside the plenum. Later two fans were mounted externally.
Why was this done? In dust conditions, this removes most of the particulates from entering the coach (poor man's HEPA filter).
