Who ever came up with Super Bright LED Dash lights sure helped my motor home. I have change out the dash warning lights, but have not been able to test all of them. My question is how do I test the dash warning lights? Not the back ground lights but the warning lights, Hot engine, low cooling level, etc.
Thanks, Wayne Lenox

Wayne,

I may have been the first one to do this. When I installed the first LED I chose something I could control, like the high beam indicator. When I knew the polarity was correct (the LED was working) I took note as the positive and negative of the LED and installed the rest the same way. They all worked.
If you look at the side of the LED you should be able to see two small parts inside. One is a resistor which is brown and has 3 or 4 colored bands going around it. The other is gold colored with one black band on one end, this one is a diode. If I remember correctly the contact connected to the resistor has to be installed to the positive (12v +) in the light socket. You can tell which one is the negative by tracing it back and it will be connected together with all the other negative leads. The other lead, of course, is the positive. If you didn't take note of this when you installed the LEDs then you have a 50/50 chance that some of them are installed backwards and will not be working.
If your coach is like ours when you first turn the ignition on all the warning lights will light for a very short period of time. Then some will turn off and others will remain on according to the need at the time.
I believe I mentioned before that I had a problem with the ABS light blinking on and off continually with the LED. After reinstalling the original bulb the blinking stopped. This may or may not be a problem for others.

Hope this helps,

Barney

I think Barney is the first to come up with the LED Dash light switch. I got all the info from him and changed out 19 lights, works great left the ABS light alone. Now I can see them during the day, again Thanks Barney.

Gentleman on this post, and the rest of the Group.
There are several different light up-grades being talked about here. The one I an interested in is the Light Cluster on the Drivers Dash above the gauges. cant see in the daytime. The one I have found do not appear to be correct for my Coach, a 2003 Magna #6269 One post even had a link to Amazon and did not even reference LED Lights. Can someone kindly give me the link, part number and color to use. Mine are a two pin very small bulb and the pins fold over the plastic bayonet and insert into a rubber grommet that fits in a rectangle. The new bulbs seem to be square ?
Also where can you get the Plastid discs that are part of the recessed ceiling lights, several were broke and I have now done one., Any suggestions on LED's Would like bright in kitchen and dinette and soft over the bed ?

Thank you, be safe and take care.

Chris,

I used the following LED's for my dash warning lights. You can also go to post #91820 for more info.

Choose the cool white. They work great,

Your lights are probably not the same as mine; but, I replaced all the fixtures in the bedroom with led fixtures and then I had spares for the rest of the coach.
