While driving from Tucson to Chula Vista our steps suddenly shot out. We stopped and pulled the fuse located in the bay under the driver's seat to bring them in while driving. Now, in the RV Resort they are out and we are hoping they will retract when we need to leave!

We had this problem a few years ago with several different attempts to fix it. Finally, Vern, at Oregon Motorcoach, solved it by putting in a new harness and we have enjoyed working steps ever since. Now, the problem arises again.

When you look at the wires in the door, It appears the grey cover over the band of wires has moved away from covering the band and one can clearly see the wires but it doesn't appear wires are broken.

Does anyone know of a quick fix? Or, will we have to get a whole new harness installed again?

When mine did that, an adjustment on the door b "button" switch fixed it. Apparently the switch thought the door was opened.

Shirley, first thing I'd do is call Vern @ Oregon Motorcoach the folks you paid to fix it and ask his/their suggestions.
