I always loved a country coach. Me and my wife fell in love and bought, this weeked a nice 40 foot 3 slide, Tag Axle, 370 Cummins 2003 Allure 370.
I am sure I will have a bunch, The coach was purchased in PA. I live in NC. The man winterized the coach. I have never owned a hurricane heating system. He said it was winterized, and he used the heat pumps to heat the coach. After buying it, we drove half way back in NC, and bunkered in at Cracker Barrel. We ran the 8K generator with both heat pumps and worked great. After getting home yesterday, I have been playing a bit. If I run both heat pumps and even turn on the tv for more then 20 minutes it blows the 35 Amp breaker on Generator. Is this normal? How to I dewinterize the hurricane? How do I use the hurricane?
Did I make a right move buying this coach? The only down side we can see is the hurricane I hear, has troubles.
Maybe I should upgrade to a 10K or even a 12K generator? Love to hear anything and everything from everyone on there opinions. So far We Love it..

The 8KW genset should run both your heat pumps without tripping the breaker. Actually, that genset should handle all the electrical loads in your coach.
As far as dewinterizing the Hydro Hot/Aqua Hot, all you really need to do is connect water to the coach and turn on a hot water tap to flush the lines. If the previous owner winterized with the pink RV antifreeze, you just need to flush that out.

Hmmm, Might have to have the generator shop look at the generator. Thanks for your input.

Had the same type of issue. Apparently after a breaker trips a few times it get soft and trips before the breaker rating. I just changed my 35 amp breaker and things are working much better. The breaker is expensive (for a simple breaker) costing about $95 from Cummins. Kind of a pain to get the metal shroud back on correctly.
