Good morning Group!

Oil pressure switch for Onan 8kw went out. Took to Cummins Cummins Crosspoint in Nashville. They say must dismount gen to get at sensor. Coach is 2000 Magna with gen on pull-out drawer. They say not enough room unless dismount for charge of 2 hours labor. Do you really need to dismount gen for this repair? Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Remove generator?? That's a first for me! Unless I am missing something here, all I have had to do is remove the panels secured with 10mm hex head screws. With the panels removed, you can access all your sensors, thermostat housing, etc. Are you sure they are removing the genset? It could be the labor accessing and removing/reinstalling all the screws to access the engine.
