Hi, I am a new member and have been lurking in the background for a while. I was wandering what the thoughts are comparing Country Coach and the Newmar product? I can't find any brochures on the the Country Coach line to determine the specs and available floor plans. Is CC a Semi-Monocoque design? What chassis does it use, is it air suspension and how many bags does it have? What are the service costs like with the coach primarily using Cat engines and does the Cat service center still service them? I do know that CC went bankrupt in 2010 and the owner is in the process of trying to bring it back. Also how is part availability?

Thanks
Barry

Hi Barry and welcome to the group. We own a 2004 CC Allure 33' with 2 slides and we are full timers. The quality is outstanding. We have the same issues that all other Class A diesel pushers have. Mostly with add on items like refrigerators, Hydro Hot/Aqua Hot, etc. Our coach is well built. When we bought it in 2005 it had 14,000 miles on it. Now we have 110,000 miles on it. We have not had any problems getting service or parts. The factory is now open for service and parts. www.countrycoach.com The chassis is Dynomax. and is a Semi-Monocoque. http://www.giantrvonline.com/chassis/DynoMax%20Chassis.htm We have Cummins ISL and use Cummins Coach Care for engine and other work. I'm sure that any Cat service center can service the engine. Kevin Waite who monitors this group is a very good resource for parts. Can't compare with Newmar since we've only owned a CC. We use Speedco for oil changes, a heavy duty chassis shop for suspension stuff. We use Alliance Coach in Wildwood Florida for other work.
We are extremely happy with our CC.
