Will be passing through LA/Anaheim and we are in need of a good service person/ company to check out our fridge. Losing cooling capacity. Thanks in advance, Roger Harper

I have not used this company, however, there have many good posting of the repairs and knowledge of working on motor homes.

Roger......

I have used Colton Truck all the time for regular maintenance and for break-downs. Have NEVER had a poor experience with them. All staff are really professional and know the business of diesel motor coaches and large tractors.
They sure know whats going on with all the mechanics of the coach but, not real sure if they can help you on the Frig.
Call : Ed Doltar...( shop Supervisor) before you arrive to see if they can help you. I am sure he will be able to assist you from there if he can't
Ed Doltar....Colton Truck Terminal Garage....909-825-4080...They are closed Saturday and sunday....Mon-Fri its 8 to 4:30.
When you talk to him tell him "Scotty" sent ya from Upland...See what that gets ya!!!! Good Luck!

I see that people have recommended Colton Truck for service. They are a chassis service company only. They do not service anything in the coach such as refers, etc. I will say that they are excellent for chassis and motor service.

I'll also recommend Temecula Valley RV for the house items. And you really can't go wrong with any of the service writers, I've had a great relationship with Dianne. Knows her stuff, and keeps involved with the tech's, and always communicates well on how things are going. The owner, Erik, is also always willing to get involved - as he really likes RV things!

For mechanical, I also had a good experience with Colton Trucks. But I've now switched to a shop that is an hour closer to our Vacation Home in San Diego. I use Rincom Trucks out San Clemente. You can't go wrong with either one. (And a note, I have never used TVRV on our engine service, thus I have no first hand experience. They are probably fine on the normal Oil/Lube/Filter and perhaps more. I just have not used them in this area, as I had relationships with Rincom established.)
Best of luck on your repairs, Smitty 04 Allure 31017

As we speak, my Allure sits at Temecula Valley RV, it developed, again, some type of coolant leak. So, time will tell how good the mechanical work is (in my eyes). I thought that Cummins in Bakersfield would be my goto for engine work however, by the time we got to Tucson we had a some type of engine leak, I don't have the paper work so I can't explain exactly what it was. I will use this Cummins service center again, as well as other Cummins service centers as well for engine work. I think we can all agree, there are too few service centers and even less good ones.

Sure hope your leak is something minor. We had all of our hosed swapped out last year, and one of the hoses did start leaking after about 2000 miles. Hose clamp adjustment, and no problems on our 4.5K mile trip last September. (I've also heard that silicone hoses can be very twitch to get the proper seals on. I almost went that route, but figured every 10 years change out of good quality hoses (I went with Gates.) was not too much of expense.

Please let us know what your find out. And if you have not picked up your coach yet, please give a Shout Out to to Erik, Dianne, etc. - at TVRV from Smitty. (They did a great Solar Panel install for me, roof Bus-Kote, and other things as well.)
