Hi Question. Does someone know if Country Coach had changed out the dry spline p.t.o. for the wet p.t.o. by 2010? We are looking at a 2010 that had been purchased at the bankruptcy auction, but had a little concern about the pto deal. Thanks Kay Neubauer

Hi Kay,
It's my understanding that Country Coach never did change to the wet PTO. But it's not a big deal to do the conversion. I did it myself for less than $500 and it shouldn't be much more to have someone to it for you. You might have it inspected before the sale to make sure there is no damage to the splines. If there is damage it came become very expensive and the hydraulic pumps will need to be replaced.

Kay,
Our 2010 Intrigue with ISM 500/Allison came DRY. We had Premier install a wet kit.

Hi Kay
You can get the answer you need quickly by doing your own simple inspection.
Look under the rear of the coach at the transmission. It is the unit forward of the engine. If you have a PTO it will be bright red and mounted to the side of the transmission. If it is a dry PTO it will have only one small cloth braided hydraulic line coming to it from below. If you have a PTO and the wet kit has been installed, there will be a second hydraulic line attached to the first at a "T" intersection and looping over the top of the PTO from one side to the other.
Hope this helps.
