I have a 97 Intrigue that the steep cover will start to cover and then stop. It will retract all the way back. Then it will not go back out for a time. How do you get to the motor and linkage to check it out?

On my coach, the rack and pinion assembly along with the motor is located right under the drivers' feet. On the ceiling of the bay just ahead of the left steer tire. Sometimes the pinon gear on the motor shaft will loosen and cause the symptoms you describe. Hope this helps.

Try silicone lubricant on the pinion first.
