Hello Friends,
How do you fix the kind of problems shown in the attached photos? Stains on (Corian?) countertop, torn cloth décor around windows? Small hole in wall behind driver's side chair.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

In my 2000 Allure I had a carpenter/cabinet maker replace them with wood (oak) that matched the cabinets. Much nicer than the cloth, easy to keep clean and dust free. Probably no more and perhaps less expensive than having the fabric replaced. I will do that in my Intrigue when the fabric becomes worn or damaged.

Hi For corian you just sand them out they look new. as far as your window trim i have seen where the wraps were built our of matching wood and it looks good. When iv seen it done they did it for the refined look as an improvement. Email me if you need instructions on corian and there are instructional videos on you tube.

Rod, I want to understand what you mean about the window trim. Is it all done just out of wood as a refined look? Sounds like an improvement to me if I understand correctly. Thank you.

Thanks Rod. Very helpful information. Would like the detailed instructions for the Corian counter. Where can I look at it on YouTube? Suppose I need advice from a local dealer on how to deal with other issues.
Thanks again.

Contact any solid surface countertop retailer to find out how to repair your countertops. Simply sanding will not fix your problem as it takes a progression of fine sandpaper, steel wool and polishing, buffing compound in conjunction with a vibrating or random orbit sander to have the proper results.

Thank you for your advice. Doesn't look like a simple solution for a novice like me. I may make the problem worse by sanding.

Our new-to-us 2005 Intrigue has countertops of a material that looks like Corian, but someone in the business of remodeling RVs said it is not Corian, but something else. He told me the name, but I don't remember. Does anyone have an idea what material would have been used in a 2005 Intrigue for countertops and table top? Ours has one bad scratch in the table, and lots of tiny ones otherwise. I'd like to fix them, but am afraid to try anything until I know what material I'm working with.
We'd also like to have the tabletop made smaller. It's in a booth, and the booth was obviously made for skinnier people than we are! Any suggestion for someone who could do that, either in Florida or closer to our home in central Illinois.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Tom,
My 2005 Inspire countertop material was made by Hudson and Country Coach told me they were out of business. I had a new top made for the table out of Corian that is not an exact match but is so close no one would know it was not the same as the other countertops.

Tom,
I was in the cabinet/countertop business for 30 years. Last time I checked there were 50+ different brands of Corian type solid surface materials. Unfortunately all are difficult for the DIY home/RV remodelers to fabricate. Any good countertop company can fix and re-size your countertops though it may take a few tries to find one that can match your current products color. If they cannot, look at trimming out the edge in a complimentary color that goes with the decor of your rig. If your scratch is not too deep, try scotch brite pads, it's what our repair guys used. If it covers a large area or is very deep, it will need to be repaired professionally.

Hello Tom & Norma Heck
I built the counter tops for all Country Coach Models. I was the Plant Manager in the cabinet and solid surface shop. I can identify your material for you. I would need to see a picture to tell you the material manufacturer and color name. If it has a veined pattern it was Mystera. If it has large particulates it is more than likely Karadon. I also have all of the counter top Inventory from the country coach bankruptcy auction. Will be happy to assist you. Each of these two materials have a different finishing process from each other due to the resin makeup with in the material.

Hi Matt,
Just visited your website and sent a request for information regarding the removal of a stain on our Corian countertop. Also have issues with the unraveling fabric around some of our windows. Pix attached.

Hello Matt,
Since we have you on line, we have a 2003 Intrigue. I would like to drill a small hole in the bedroom dresser top/counter top. This would be so I could put a larger tv on top of that dresser and run the cords up to tv. If it is Corian is there a special drill bit that I need to use. The hole would just big enough to get power cord and cable to tv.
Thanks

Thank you, Matt, for your information! So helpful! Our countertop is undoubtedly Mystera. The color is a little more difficult to determine, given the shortcomings of matching colors online, but the name "Mystera" is what I really needed. Not sure when we can replace the tabletop, but with the information from you we will proceed when we can. Thank you again! Norma Heck, 2008 Intrigue, currently in Florida, home is Illinois

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the information about our countertop. We are not sure whether to deal with this issue by spending more or offering a price concession to potential buyers who express concern about it.
Thanks again.

John,
Forgive my hijacking this thread... sort of.
The solid surface top to my desk has suddenly begun to sag at the unsupported end. The attached photo is looking forward. The edge of the cabinet is directly below the point of the beginning of the sag. There has been virtually no weight on that portion of the desktop.
Has anyone experienced this? I would think the bending temperature of this type of material would be in excess of 300F. It gets hot inside when the bus is buttoned up, but nowhere near that level. Furthermore, this occurred in April.
I guess it goes to the dump, and I'll start over. I didn't care for the design of that desk anyway.
Thanks for any advice.
Jay
