I know this isn't a question about coaches but thought a few of you computer guys might have some words of advise before I start opening up my computer.
I have a desk top Compaq (older) with a blocked floppy.
When I removed a disk it left behind the plastic protector and now (obviously) I am unable to load another disk and this means I cannot back up or transfer information to another computer.
My plan is to try and fish out the plastic part from the front without removing the drive from the computer. However, I am wondering if I were to remove the drive would I find that it (the drive) comes apart easily and that might be the better route?
Any ideas short of buying a new drive? Thanks.

Hi David,
Buy a new drive for $15-$20, they are easy to replace.

Hi David and Karen,
Fred's right just replace it. I just checked and $10-20 will buy one.
If you decided to take it out it does NOT come apart real easy...hummm maybe I shoud say you can take it apart but putting it back together is the challenge ...
