Flying out to see a 2001 intrigue 40 dbl slide with a 370hp cummins with 60k miles. He says it's in mint shape except for a few windows have creeping seals between the double pane glass. Is this a common problem? Is there a easy fix? I have seen some kits on line anyone try these? Anything special to pay close attention to on this year/model? Has brand new tires and just went through the cummins shop for routine service. Will he exterior be full body paint? Thanks for all your help.

Full body paint came on 02 models, but check Damon Rapozo's website for confirmation, and serial number of change. Other issues are the fan controller, CAC cooler and radiator. Small hoses for cooling and fuel distribution to diesel heat and genset should be checked. The circulation pumps for send and returning coolant to the front dash heating should be checked. Front axle fluid levels . Ask if the transmission has transynd or Dexron. Inspect the frames of the slide room openings and the front door for electrolysis which will cause the paint to peal. Check clear coat for pealing around the top edge of the roof. Look at the electrical terminals in the fuse boxes under the drivers seat in the front bay and in the rear bay for signs of oxidation or exposure to salt water. Cycle the leveling system, run the genset and the air conditioners, cycle the heating, etc. Check if the AV (TV and Hifi) system needs to be upgraded. Then the obvious, carpet, flooring, upholstery, wood cabinet condition and if the wall paper is loosing integrity with the walls.. Check the fiberglass for cracking and micro cracks. Ask if the water heaters heating element has been changed. Look for signs or smells from water leaks, under cabinets, in storage bays and near the slides inside. Look under the bed and check rear slide room mechanism. Check the shower and skylight for signs of leaks. Look for rust. Just standard practices check twice. Batteries can be an issue, too. Check all hinges and struts, too. Some one should have an app for this stuff. If it has the double Norcold refer has the upgrade been performed and the safety shut down module been installed. I don't know if roof Air conditioners had condensation traps and drain lines back then. Drive the coach and see if you like the way it handles, stops, and how quiet it is. There shouldn't be any air leaks or unexplained noises.

I have had 2 CC coaches and have never had seal creep in 17 years, but I have had the entry door and drivers window seals fail. I had the window company in Eugene repair mine. TWI 2004 Intrigue.11731. Check with Cummins for any updates on the engine, have the serial number when you call.

Segi window seal failure is common on many brands of motorhomes. We had ours repaired at Suncoast Designers in Hudson FL. Great company. They have hookups and you can stay in the RV on site.

Sounds like you have found a bargain if there are no major problems. Check the age of the tires, if they are more than 5 to 7 years old then you will need to replace them. Mileage is very low for a 2001. Window seals are a fairly easy fix and not all that costly, had mine done several years ago at Suncoast Designers in Hudson, Florida.
