Hi
Canadian. Just purchased a 1992 Intrigue Affinity with 3208T Cat.
Alternator failed Sat morning in San Antonio Tx. Luck at a Pilot truck stop. Only 1 mobile mechanic to be found. He replaced alt., messed up the wirs, didn't tag them. Took my money and ran.
Does anyone have the schematics/wiring drawings from repair manual.
Not a computer guy, don't know how to use a forum, so please call if you can help.
Or email me TheWizardsCreations@... (TheWizardsCreations@...) Cheers

Hi,
Canadian. Just purchased a 1992 Country Coach Affinity with only 50,000 miles. Plan to restore and upgrade her.
Alternator failed on Sat in Texas, lucky at a Pilot Truck Stop. Only 1 mobile mechanic avail.. He replaced alternator, took my money, and left me with wires hanging. He did not tag the wires! Can't find a wiring diagram anywhere.
Can someone at least give me a lead. Would be nice if someone with the same model coach has all the manuals.
Am willing to purchase Repair, Mantenance, and parts manuals. Or pay to have hard copies or disc or digital copies.
Please email me direct as am not a computer guy. Can't believe I was apply to get on the forum.

The email address in your message is not complete so cannot send alternator schematic.
You are not stranded...
Attach a jumper cable from the positive terminal of the Chassis battery to the positive terminal of the House battery.
Start the generator.
Start the engine. Your mechanical engine will continue to run. The generator will provide enough charge to the chassis battery to keep the transmission functional. On my rig the only reason the alternator can shut down the engine is due to the Transmission electronics.
I have driven over 100 miles continuously in the above mode with no harm to the batteries.

I like your solution: I would make a solid connection rather than a battery jumper cable.
If the wrong end would come loose, a fire could result.
When I did major remote remodeling work, I would always have a battery charger, plus an extra battery. When I had such a problem, just drive with minimum lights until the battery gets low, stop and re-charge the batteries if a service station of any electrical outlet available - I could get three hours of driving with two batteries.
