We have a 2004 38 foot Intrigue Suite Escape. We currently have the Norcold 1200 and are considering replacing it with a residential refrigerator.
Has anyone done this with this model CC and if so what refrigerator did you use? Also what modifications were required of the drawer and plumbing under the Norcold?
Thanks,
Norm

Norm,
Done a few of those... The Samsung model works great if you're willing to lose the drawer under the refer. If not wanting to lose the drawer then the fisher paykel unit works great - just more expensive of a unit.

We don't have an Intrigue but did the switch, ditched the Not-So-Cold and had the Samsung 197 RR installed. 99% of the switches out there are to the 197 because it will run on the Xantrex inverter if that is the one you have, I did switch to the Magnum 2812 just because. This install is the same as my, it is an 07 Inspire mine is an 06. Get out the tape and see if you have the room, need close to 70" in height http://www.moenracing.com/samsung/ (http://www.moenracing.com/samsung/) Here is another install

Floyd was a big help to us making the decision to install the Samsung 197 which we are very very happy with.

Not sure if the Intrigue will be like our 06 Inspire, but we chose to not lose the 2 drawers under the Samsung 197 refrigerator. I rarely use the top shelf of the refrigerator anyway, and there's so much more room than the Norcold we removed. It maybe made the installation easier too to not take out the two drawers.

I put a Samsung 197 in a 2004 Intrigue 40' several months ago. I had take the drawers out . I measured down from the ceiling leaving just enough space at the top to slide the fridge in. There is enough room to not to modify any plumbing under the fridge but still room to work under the refrigerator. I cut the drawers down and used velcro to attach drawer fronts to the openings. We bolted it to the plywood base and drilled through the upper hinge plate and used lags to attach it to the ceiling plywood. Its very secure.
I found out the hard way that a 2004 is shorter and the fromt door is more narrow than a friends 2005. We took out the large window in the drivers side slide and brought the 197 in through the window.
Hope this helps. Sure have enjoyed the Samsung 197.
