As a long time lurker on this forum (2 years + since we bought our '96 Intrigue) I have been the happy recipient of a wealth of valuable info but never felt I had anything of value to contribute. I now must share an experience with the group.
On leaving the Salt Lake area eastbound on I-80 we had a rear ride height valve failure just as we crested Parley's Summit and had a white knuckle ride down to Park City. We found a park and I remembered reading several threads which related to what had just happened to us. I pulled up the laptop and found Kevin Waite's phone number. Between Kevin and his brother-in-law Butch Williams in Lakeland, FL, I got the info needed to override the HWH system and get back to SLC. Then came the bad part. I imagine there are those of you who can vouch for the difficulty of finding ANYONE in SLC who will work on a diesel pusher and I have joined your ranks.
After an amazing number of refusals to even talk about working on my coach from people like Freightliner, Peterbilt, Cummins, and countless smaller shops, I, by reading this invaluable resource, happened upon Smith Power Products. Long story short, these guys are pros who will tackle a job like mine and have been working on large RV's for many years. Many thanks to Byran, Ben, and especially Ted my tech, for a job well done and a first rate customer service experience. I recommend them highly. Also, many thanks to Kevin and Butch for being there in my hour of need. Much appreciated! And thanks to the members of this forum who share their knowledge so freely.
