My CC Intrigue 01' is discharging more water from dump valve #1 and none from #2 and #3. I have owned the coach for 10 years and this is a first. Air Dryer Filter was replaced 9/13 by Trucking Service in my area. Wondering if the whole Dryer assemble should be replaced? Any experience shared would be appreciated.
Also wonder what the #1 dump valve is connected to. I drained the #1 air line to get all water out and checked air tank pressure gauge on dash and still had 85 psi on both tanks.

Went round and round with our 98 Allure dryer. The way I understand it We or I have a wet tank that is not shown on dash pressure gauge. Only the main and backup tank is shown. Our purge stuck open on a trip so I ended up bypassing the dryer completely and dumped air/water at every stop. I just replaced the entire dryer and filter $250 but was a bugger to get to. Is the purge valve opening as it should?
In short you can dump valve #1 but will still register air on dash gauge.

You should have a front and rear supply air tank. These are both fed by the wet tank. You should have 2 air pressure gauges, one for the front and one for the rear. If you drain the front one the rear will still have air and show pressure and vice versa.
To check the purge valve, when the compressor cycles off it should purge. You should be able to hear this especially if you are around the dryer.

I have had the air dryer assy out twice myself to replace the dryer cartridge and purge valve and clean the internal ports. I have posted the pneumatic system explanation in the past along with the air system piping diagram drawing numbers. In a post this past year, you will find photos of an added "wet tank". So I now have 2 "wet tanks". This is a misnomer which has carried over from trucking days past. It is really the first dry tank after the dryer. Each tank you see under the front of the coach has a partition that divides each one into two - 1 primary & 1 secondary on the left and 1 secondary & 1 primary on the right which have specific functions. They are all coupled together with check valves, pressure stop valve and other devices to prevent total loss of air pressure.
I would recommend that your dryer assy be removed and and at least a new purge valve(newly designed) be installed. You probably need a new dryer cartridge as it appears your present one is water saturated.

I had a simular problem first repalced the purge valve that worked for a short time. Then removed the dryer assemby cleaned all ports and replace the dryer cartrige and purge valve (very important)drain all water from system air tanks and lines and start coach and let system purge at least once a week so far no problem
