I have an 06 Inspire 360. The white roof is oxidized and every time it rains I get white streaks down the sides. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Is there a good product out there to apply? Thanks. Mac

A good scrub and a coat of Aerospace 303 will last for a while 3 to 6 months depending on the amount of time it spends in the sun.

Tammy,

I have solved the problem of the streaking . I will send you all the information. The information is on my other computer. But I assure you the problem will be solved for at least two years at a time

I solved mine, painted the roof. Professional spray job using flexible paint colour matching the off white/cream outline used on the side graphics. Just under the equivalent of $1000. Now its only dust or dirt that come down in the rain, but easy clean the roof on a regular basis with hose and brush.

I have only recently been getting some white streaks from the roof. I decided try the Zep floor polish since so many folks have used it successfully to brighten faded gelcoat. I washed the roof and put on three coats of Zep High Traffic Floor Polish. It looks really great and others have said it will last up to 2 years.

A lot of folks use MopnGlo. Lasts about 6 months. Scrub roof, apply , let it dry.

Used Buskote on ours. It has worked great and has held up for four years.

Hi Stan,

Could you forward your solution to the streaking problem of the oxidized roof? Appreciate it.

Hi Tom,

Did you use the 1220 Bond-it first? Did you use the Flexi-clear coat over the bus kote? Thanks.

Can you say "Bus Kote?" I had Kevin Waite do that nearly a year ago and there has been none, nada, zilkch, niente, nil, etc., streaking since (and the coach is stored outdoors). Highly recommended.

Yes Mac, I used all 3, as recommended by the manufacturer. Our roof looks as good today as 4 years ago. I am going to treat the rolled edge of our roof this year and take the Buskote over the side to the roof seam. That is a very ugly part of the roof and can be seen from below.

I completely agree with Mac. I very carefully power washed my roof, and allowed to completely dry. The following day I had my son roll on the Buskote over the entire roof and the roof over the edge. I waited one more day and gave the roof a second coat ------- white streaks gone. We have a 2005 Inspire like Tom. We are not full timers but will take extended three months trips. I got tired of the shower plastic doom roof acting as a heater in warm weather. I called the Buskote manufacture and asked if the paint would damage the plastic, the answer was no. I therefore painted one coat of the Buskote over the plastic. I still have sufficient light coming in but the Green House Effect of generating a heater was over. The temp in the coach has decreased by 10-15 degrees. The other plus by using Buskote is I think it has acted as an acoustic barrier from some of the outside noises. I give it one coat every two or three years.

I hope my validation of Toms method has been of help.

I too have done the Zep treatment on roof 1 yr. ago, 3 coats, and it stopped the gelcoat powder. Will probably do 1 or 2 more coats soon and thinking about doing on side of coach where clear coat has peeled. Jim Veen, '96 36 ft. Intrigue # 10299.

Jim,

You say Zep treatment. I have searched Zep and could not find any of this product. Can you post what product from Zep you used? Do you have a fiberglass roof or rubber?

I recoated my roof with a product from Sherwin-Williams called Sher-Cryl HPA. Easy to apply water cleanup, it's been two years now and it still looks great. I get NO white streaks.

I clean the roof first then apply a coating of Mop & Glow. Usually holds up for about 6 months. Solves the problems of white streaks running down the sides of your bus. Good luck.

Jock, ZEP product is ZEP - high-traffic floor finish, Found at home depot and lowe's. Used ½ of a 1 gal container, Grandson applied 3 coats{ DW said stay off of roof}. He used a soft applicator on 36 ft coach. All Intrigues are fiberglass roofs, very happy with results. Jim Veen 36 ft. Intrigue, ' 96, # 10299.

Hi Stan, I'm ready to order Bus-kote. Based on your experience, how much will I need of each of the 3 products for a 40' Inspire 360? Thanks.

No Stan, I never received any info on quantity needed. The company gives a range of coverage per gal. but I was wondering what your experience was with your rig. Thanks
