After driving 3 hours from Flagstaff to Page AZ, I shut it down and restarted after checking in and shut down the engine turned the switch off and it kept running. turned the switch on and off three or 4 times and did not shut down.
Finally after pulling the key a minute or two it stopped. I restarted and shut down fine. Any ideas what happened. Looked under the dash and wires tight and fine, nothing loose?

Although I have a CAT, mine did that. I had to use the kill switch in the engine compartment to shut the engine down. It was the ignition solenoid in the front run board that quit working. After shutting down the engine, I used the chassis battery disconnect switch to disconnect the chassis battery and then banged on the solenoid with a large pair of pliers. After that it seemed to work ok. My original went out after 14 years. The replacement lasted 2 weeks. I replaced this last one with a Cole Hersee 24213, a 200 amp version with silver-tungsten contacts.
