I need to replace my 50 amp cable which is on a reel in the electrical bay. I have a chance to pick up a Furrion cable set with Power Smart LED 25 foot. The cord comes with both a male and female end. Does anyone know if I can remove the female end and expose the bare wires to use in the reel.

Yes you can but I think a 25ft cable would be a little short.

With a 2005 you might want to consider replacing the reel and power cord which come assembled from the factory. The contacts on the reel which transfer the power to the coach do deteriorate over time. We had to replace the reel last year due to the bad contacts and we ended up with an extra cord which I could not give away.

I've repaired a number of 50A cables. The ones I've seen the connectors can be easily removed leaving a wire pigtail.
