Title: Oregon Motor Coach - questions

We will be in Oregon in August or September. I was thinking of calling Oregon Motor Coach or Country Coach and having some work done. Does anyone have comments (good or bad) concerning the quality of work, service etc. If not OMG or CC is there someplace else that would do good refrigerator/ TV / cabinet work?

gebpaddler - In answer to your original question, we have had work done several times at the Country Coach factory and I can recommend them highly. I have not had work done at OMC so cannot comment.

I also had some work done in the past by Kevin Waite, who is an independent in the JC area. He did a very good job at a fair price both times.

We have had mechanical work done by Oregon Motorcoach and was pleased with the work.
We have had extensive interior work including tv replacement, new sound system, new valances, AutoMotion shades installed, inverter replacement, galley drawers elongated for more storage and the well known Samsung installation done by Amazing Creations in JC. They are very easy to work with and the work is excellent and priced reasonable.

Bob has done tv's in two coaches for me, the last was a 55" and 40 " in my manga 630. I'll be at FMCA event in Aug. if anyone wants to see the work.

For the last 5 years OMC has been on our travel schedule for routine and unexpected maintenance. The have also done a number of woodworking projects to include a new TV and cabinet. They completely eliminated our leaking slides after several attempts by other shop. Have never been disappointed.

I agree with all comments about OMC... Jim Cooley over there is great to deal with... very competent for all mechanical repairs and reasonable in price. They will also patiently listen to all your issues and evaluate and estimate at no charge. Country Coach is a different story. I had work done there initially on our Inspire Founder's Edition. They charged me about $800 just for the estimating. The work they did was ok, but expensive... I would never go back there. Premier is also terrific and reasonable on some work they did while I had my coach stored there for the winter. I would take any coach back to either OMC or Premier without hesitation.
Amazing Creations in JC is also a really great place for custom work. I have had Bobby and Scott there do complete TV/audio and satellite refits on my coaches. They are wizards. Bobby installed a new TV above the dash, redesigned the TV/satellite cabinet, connected an A/B switch so I could select either the roof mounted Kingdome or my portable Tailgater (for wooded campsites), hooked up an awesome new Yamaha Home Theater RX-V377 system, balanced it all out, etc. Exceptional workmanship and attention to detail - for custom work, they are unparalleled.

All

We purchased our coach through Premier RV Services in JC and they removed a desk the was installed in place of the
normal dinning table, and replaced it with the original dining table and cabinets. Our coach is walnut and the new cabinets and table matched exactly and looked like it did when it came out of the factory. I believe they had the same cabinet maker do all the woodwork. Great Job not only on this item but many other items Gary Obermire completed for us. Fully Satisfied and Highly Recommended Larry 2003 Magna Resort 42 #6279
