A Very Good Point Damon; My Non-CC RV friends are very much impressed on what happens at Country Coach Rallies and Class Reunions. My friends returned from a Rexall Rally in Lanscaster. All of the "Seminars" were Sales Pitches. I was impressed on how relative the Informaitonal Seminars were at our 1st CC Rally in Eugene this past August. It was the 1st RV rally I'd attend in 25 years of RV ownership Lee in Portland, '01 Intrigue #11219, and very happy with it........
From all the pre-'01 challenges, tires sizes, etc. we are fortunate to have an '01 model... No complaints here.............

I have heard that CC holds $10K on each coach for warranty work. I would bet over the life of a coach they do not spend anywhere near that amount. In addition, how many people buy coaches and do not join CCI nor attend rallies. Of course there are always coaches that will cost them more than $10K, but I believe that CC owners have paid in advance for CC to bring techs to rallies. There is never a free lunch!

True, but did you know Country Coach is placing its own techs at dealer locations throughou the US to perform repairs in and out of warranty. They have the authority to approve claims as well as performing or supervising the work. TWI

I have no experience with any other band of coach, and have no heart burn with CC service. In fact that was a big factor when I bought my coach since the closest CC dealer is 400+ miles away. CC assured me I would have no problem getting service. That has not always proven true especially when I tried to get the ride height modification made at a Freightliner shop, but in general I have no complaints. CC has fixed most of my problems at rallies, but in many instances I had to travel up to 2000 miles roundtrip to a rally.

I am sure they budget for warranty repairs, but I am curious how you came up with the 10,000 dollar figure. Why not $1,000 or $20,000? Seems to me that the $10,000 figure is something someone, not someone at CC, just threw out as a possible amount that had been budgeted. Is that a realistic figure? Maybe, but how was it arrived at? Based on CC history of making a quality coach prior to the last four or five years I would bet that they didn't spend anywhere near that amount on the average coach. Now, with vendors providing failing components on many coaches, it is possible that the $10,000 could be reached on some coaches but I doubt if that is the average figure. The engine and transmission would be covered by someone other than CC, the refrigerator, heating/cooling system would be maintained by vendors.
So CC problems would be restricted to systems which don't generally have a history of failure.
One current problem that might cause their future costs to escalate to hundreds of dollars on many coaches is the electrolysis problems with door skins and slideout room frames. But, don't believe that would approach the $10,000 figure. At most it would probably be no more than $2,000 for each coach. Looking at many used Magnas, Allures and Intrigues in Lazy Days inventory, it appears that most of them have this problem. Not sure how that is being addressed, I would bet that it is a shared cost between the dealer and CC, but I'm not sure of that.
It appears that CC is trying their best to address owners concerns now that Bob Lee is back, hopefully, his return will eliminate all these problems before the customer takes delivery of a new coach.

I don't recall where the $10,000 came from, but I may have heard that number on one of our trips to Junction City or from friends that are pretty close some of the CC management. I don't find $10K number to be unreasonable since everthing that is done on these coaches cost a bundle. For example, my coach windowshield had to be removed and the front cap reworked due to stress cracks, That cost CC in excess of $2,000. The slide awning got caught on the lip of the slide and bent the arms and chipped the fiberglass which cost CC another $500. The bubble problem on the door is another $1,800 repair, and how many coaches have had to have the windows replaced. The labor for the window replacement is $1,500 - $2,000. I guess I am amazed that you find the $10K number to be excessive.
