Use a truck Atlas to determine if the route is OK for big rigs. To me, if it's OK for 18 wheelers, it's OK for me.

Have done the trip from Jackson thru Yellowstone via the South gate to the West gate in 45 ' Intrigue with CR V toad. Great Rv park out the west gate--Grizzly RV Park. Some repair work on road but very passable. This was 3 years ago

I-90 between Sturgis and Buffalo - see info on www.rv.net (http://www.rv.net) Also between Buffalo and Worland is Powder River Pass near Tensleep. Here's a quote from another forum: I took my fifth wheel from Custer to I-90 via US 16. I-90 to Buffalo, then US 16 thru Ten Sleep to Greybull. Greybull to Cody via US 14. There is one pretty good downhill grade on US 16 into Ten Sleep, but not a big problem. Take it slow and downshift. US 16 from Buffalo to Ten Sleep is a beautiful ride
From Worland US16/20 south to Riverton is good road.
We stayed in Wind River RV park in Riverton. Not fancy but OK.
Also US26/287 from Riverton to Dubois is good road. We stayed at the KOA in Dubois.
We drove our toad into Tetons and to Jackson. The biggest challenge is Togwotee Pass - 6% grade for 17 miles.
We are now between Cody WY and Yellowstone East Entrance. We are at Yellowstone Valley Inn and RV Park, 18 miles west of Cody. Cody is a neat town with the Buffalo Bill museum which is great! The RV park is 32 miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone. Beautiful drive.
We're leaving in the morning for Montana. Columbus, then Great Falls. Then on to Glacier.
Enjoy your trip!

Spent the summer in that area a couple years ago. Roads were fine for our 40' Inspire. Grade coming down from the east is pretty steep but manageable on 16. If you need a A1 campground for the night stop at the Greybull KOA. Very small well maintained park. Great for big rigs.
