Was hoping Barneym5 might see this, or someone else would know the answer.
I saw a sliding screen door picture, posted by Barneym5, and I'm very interested in learning more about it.
Looks like the standard bottom portion of the CC screen doors, and a sliding upper portion. The pics show a surface mounted box at the top of the screen, and then it looks like the screen rolls down within side grooves and connects to the middle cross bar of the sceen door.
My DW would really like to get a clearer view out of that door window while driving, and this looks like a pretty slick solution.
Have not had any luck google searching for who makes this.
TIA for any info,
Smitty

My wife also did not like having to look through the door screen as we travel. Our solution was to cut the screen out of the upper section and put in a piece of plexiglas. She is now a happy naviguesser or is that nagivator. No----- she does not read this forum.

MCD makes a nice roll up screen just for this purpose.

I also cut out the top portion of the door screen. I then bought some satin black screen frame and made a frame that will fit into the resultant opening. Installed screen in the new frame and placed the whole setup in the opening (held in with the normal little plastic propellers that are made for the purpose) when we get to wherever we're going to stay. The screen frame is the same satin black as the door frame and once it is in place, it can't be distinguished from ?the rest of the door frame. Looks like it came from the factory that way.

We installed a Phantom Screen. Pulled down, it is a true bug-style screen, not a sun shade. Raised, it is in its canister at the top of the screen door.
The only problem is the inability to also install the MCD sunshade, which pulls up from the bottom. You can install the Duo Shade however - we just chose not to do that.

Thanks all for the info and a few PM's too.
I was just not using the right search words... Looks like I have a few 'do it myself' options. as well as the mentioned MCD with screen vs shade roller option.
Real cool, and the DW is very happy that we have options to remove that full top screen to improve the view out the door window.
(Pro's and Con's of Font vs Mid Entry Doors, have been talked on many boards many times. But to my DW, it always comes down to 'I can't see well out the side while traveling!)
Best to all,
