Has anyone purchased a 2015 tow car. I am in the market for a new one. I have had 5 Honda's, the last 3 were CR-V's but the new 2015 has a CVT trans. and is not towable. May go look at the GMC Teheran but do not know if the new one's are towable.

I don't believe the 2015 Dinghy Towing Guide is out yet.

How about the Ford Fusion Hybrid?
We tow a 2012 and love it.

Have looked exhaustively at everything on the towable list and keep coming back to Jeep.

We tow a 2011 Wrangler four door. Disengage the transfer case and put it in park. So easy even I can do it! Of note: The 2011 model has a "non-locking" steering column so the ignition can be left in the off position and the key removed. The Jeep is a relatively light vehicle, too.

I tow a Silverado 1500 4wd with a 6 ft bed. I also have a cap on the bed. It tows all wheels down with the push of 2 buttons. It also gives me so much more storage space. We tried the jeep and it did ok but the carrying capacity for the 2 door was minimal.. Traded it back in abd got our Silverado.

Thank you for the feedback on tow cars. I went and looked at the fords, Jeeps, and GMC terrain. For me I like a SUV so that I can carry 4 people and 4 sets of golf clubs. I like not to tow more than 4000 lbs. I have narrowed my search down to the 2014 CR-V or the GMC Terrain Denali.

We like our CR-V, 2013. Its economical for a SUV, is very tight, with no squeaks, rattles, or suspicious noises, and the service we have received across the country has been a very positive experience. We didn't buy our Honda at home but on the road. As our former Odyssey lived in the desert Southwest, when we traded it in Bend, Oregon, we got an extra amount because there was no sign of rust anywhere, and the dealer could down load our service history from other dealers on Hondas service network.

I was also looking back in May of this year and ended up with a 2011 cadillac SRX. I'm very happy with it. I've towed 7 times since then and am very happy with it. The procedure is very simple to tow. Slip a small screwdriver in a neutral safety lock under the gear shift boot and your ready to roll. Instructions are in the SRX manual.
