We bought it this past week and are so excited but there are little things we are trying to figure out. This sounds almost dumb and we are hoping we are missing something very simple but we cannot find the city water hook up. We don't have water running through the bus. We found an issue with the culligan system and replaced that. We filled the fresh water tank and when we turn the pump on it just runs. There was a switch next to the pump that was disconnected and we reconnected the wires but we cannot read any writing on it to know what it is. We wanted to test the city water hook up to see if we have water then, which would tell us it is probably the pump. But for the life of us we cannot find the hook up. There is only one female hose connection in the water compartment and it is the sewer flush. Please tell me we are missing something really simple. :)

Thank you in advance for all your help!

I am sure we will have more questions as we go through it.

Not sure about your 1991, but my 1998 has a single hose connection like you describe, and has valve in the water bay with two (unmarked from the factory) positions. It must be in one position to fill the water tank and a different position - turned 90 degrees - to run off of city water or for the pump to suck water from a full tank. I would guess yours has something similar somewhere.

On my rig, the fresh water fill switch is on the overhead console on the passenger side.

The water pump on/off switch is also on that console along with the fresh water drains switch.

The water fill hose hookup is at the bottom left of the utility compartment where there is a knob for opening or closing the valve for shore water to flow into the rig.

Maybe......the picture of my utility compartment will show as an attachment. Yahoo is confusing.

All figured out.  Several things. We followed the lines and the line which should have a fill on it was connected back to the other water lines with a added pipe. We disconnected and put a fill on it. Then once that happened and we had a fresh water hook up the water was still not in the chasis. When we ran the water pump water would flow back into the fresh water tank causing the water to flow back and forth thru the water pump to tank. So we followed to all the solenoids and took them apart. Found they were gunked up and cleaned them. Whew...water back into the rig when the pump runs and also with the fill.
