Hi, have a 2000 magna with a c-10 cat, with 2 start batteries and would like to change out one to the house group of batt. Has anyone done this and is one batt enough to start cat, thanks 5886

The house batteries are probably deep cycle batteries and should not be used with a starting battery. I would think if CC used two starting batteries it was because it was need to start the coach. Either set of batteries should be oa equal age or the oldest one will draw down the other one, from my limited knowledge of batteries. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111 with 2 starting batteries and 2 house batteries.

I just bought 3 8D wets,  I paid $150 for american made batteries.  $475 was the price for AGM.  AGM will not give you any more power, nor last any long.  But you do not have to add water ever

Bob, Since I've not ever seen an 8D Wet Cell Battery for $150.00 let us in on what Brand you purchased please.

The difference, as I have learned from experience, is that AGM's take a charge WAY faster than wet cells. This is only an issue if you boondock a lot.
