Were in the middle of a return trip from oregon back to Southern California and our slide starts going out. I don't know how far it would go because we pull over and bring it back in when it opens to about one inch. Any ideas would help.

Run it out and in several times. If that does not do it you will need to  remove the check vavles from the pump and clean or replace.

One of your slide solenoids is failing or your fluid level is low.  I have had both issues.  Hopefully its just your hydraulic fluid level being low.  Right now I'm fighting an intermittent control solenoid that allows my X slide to creep out about 6 inches sometimes.  So I have my winch set up under the Dinette to strap the two slides together and keep the X slide from creeping out more than an inch or two.  When it decides to work I'm OK.  Have have an appointment next Monday in Hot Hot Tucson to replace both solenoids at Eric's  Premier MHCS.  I had the same issue on my  SS 98 Allure when it was a week old and Buddy Greg fixed that in Dallas.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731.
