Considering State Farm windshield replacement coverage for $240. Any idea on the cost of a windshield replacement and where to get it done? Mark Laser

We just got a quote from RV Glass Solutions for the driver's side of our 2 piece windshield and it was about $650 not including the install.

You can call them and get a quote.  888-777-6778.  I spoke with Kate.

They are located in Eugene Oregon and have warehouses throughout the US and have installers they can refer you to.  They are shipping our windshield to Alliance Coach in Wildwood FL. Our Florida insurance coverage pays with no deductible.
Very impressed with RV Glass Solutions' service.

I also have State Farm. I had issues with them but finally went to RV glass solutions and they worked out the issues with State Farm. This one piece windshield has limited locations that install.  I drove 500 miles to Searcy Ak. with Fog Doctor and 2 days to install.
Good Luck

We have had excellent work done by Jeff Jennings at Windshield Magic and highly recommend him.  Jeff is in Junction City, OR and is very familiar with Country Coach coaches with leak problems and has done much warranty work for them.  He spends his winters in Quartzite, AZ and does several windshields a day.  He actually drove from Quartzite to the Palm Springs area (no charge to us) on a Sunday to make the install for us so we wouldn't need to unhook everything and drive to him.
It is much easier if you call him and let him deal with State Farm or whoever for you. He knows who talk to and just what to say.  If he calls he will do the work, if you call they may assign a company of their choice.
His contact info is Windshield Magic | Mobile Auto And RV Glass Specialists (http://www.windshieldmagic.com) and number is 800-560-8061.  We have no connection to him but were very pleased with the service provided.

We just had ours replaced. Luckily we had windshield coverage, but the total cost was around $3500. We were in North Carolina and found a local glass shop (down the road from Tom Johnson) that did the replacement. Tom Johnson quoted us almost $5K. I believe the glass itself was a little over $2K.

I am finding about the same, quote for the glass and installation was over $3600. Installation takes 8 hours. I will opt for the insurance.
Thanks for the feedback.

We just had our one piece windshield replaced by Coach Glass in Coburg, OR for $2450 (incl disc for CCI member) by Coach Glass which is related to RV Glass solutions. They also fixed 3 fogged windows at the same time, for $350 each. All of the work was beautiful and professional, and they have hookups for spending the night.

Coach Glass has the manufacturing molds for the Country Coach windshields. I think they're manufactured in Spain? They have a warehouse full of windshields. As we're finding out, the insurance and cash price for things are quite different - I was originally quoted $3,400...
